I'm Abby, mom to Lottie and three younger siblings who adore her. Our family has spent more days and nights in hospital rooms than we ever expected, and each stay taught us something about what families really need when life pauses.

During one of Lottie's longer stays, a nurse handed me a small gift bag donated by another patient's family. Snacks, a refillable cup, a coloring book — nothing extravagant, but it made me feel seen in a moment when I felt invisible.

That little bag planted a seed. Love Like Lottie is our way of passing that same feeling on to every family walking a hard hospital hallway in Sangamon County.
